Looking from the outside or the inside, Jarry 2e resembles many other café-bistro of Montreal. Nice setting, interesting menu, the café-bistro is cozy and warm. Opened in April, Jarry 2e is hoping that its concept will last.

Friday September the 20th, Le Support – Fondation de la déficience intellectuelle was the guest of the televised quizz Paquet voleur on Radio-Canada. We can say that our team played a very good game. This big amount will be given in financiela aids during the next months to organizations which help directly people living with an intellectual disability and their family.

The movie Gabrielle opens in many theaters and the community of intellectual disability is rejoicing. This is a very special moment because it is not everyday that a fiction movie, not a documentary, is opening in many theaters in Quebec. It is not everyday also that the star of a film is a person living with intellectual disability and that many actors have the same condition.
The community organization Les Muses has also many reasons to rejoice since all those actors are attending...

Since many years, theprovincial government has cut the subsidies it gives to the different school boards. Throughout the years, These cuts have had negative impact on the services given to special need students.  This situation was brought to light recently by the Fédération des comités de parents du Québec during a press conference on August the 27th. A team of American researchers has identified a molecule who reduces te symptoms of Down Syndrome. For the moment, the scientists from Johns Hopkins University are testing this special molecule on mice. They say that the results so far are extremely encouraging.
As usual, the researchers are quick to point out that it is way too early to open the champagne but they say that their work is very useful and that it is good news for people with Down Syndrome and their families....

After 25 years, the Fondation québécoise de la déficience intellectuelle (FQDI) is starting anew to insure its continuity and its presence for another quarter of a century. The Foundation will be known as Le Support – Fondation de la déficience intellectuelle.
